ABOUT ME

My name is Erin Thompson. I am a full time, privately insured pet care provider through Pet Care Insurance via Veracity Insurance Solutions and Lloyd's of London. Your pets are my priority and my passion!

A lifelong animal lover, I have been petsitting since I was a teenager. My employment experience includes the Allen Co. SPCA and La Cabreah Arabians, a private horse showing and breeding facility; I've volunteered for Indy Humane, IACC, Hamilton Humane, and served as a board member for equine 501c3 nonprofit Friends of Ferdinand. I also have 16 years and 20+ foster dogs' worth of experience with retired racing greyhounds as an active volunteer foster home and home inspector for Greyhound Pets of America - Indianapolis and Prison Greyhounds.

I have extensive experience with all ages, breeds, and sizes of dogs, cats, horses, saltwater & tropical fish, frogs, hamsters, lizards, hedgehogs, ferrets, and rabbits.

I am life-long lover of all animals, but with a special place in my heart for seniors. I come from a family tradition of loving and caring for animals - my favorite story of my grandmother is of her discovering a family of mice in their home, and her decision to care for them instead of much more popular sentiments of the day to the contrary!

Caring for animals will always be my top priority. I'm a highly organized, hard working, and dependable person here to help with your pet care needs, whether for occasional care while you're away, or for weekly recurring care. I graduated with highest distinction from IUPUI with a BA in English, and followed that with a Masters in Library Science also from IUPUI.
